LOS ANGELES (Feb. 25, 2025) — Northmarq’s Los Angeles Debt + Equity team, led by Senior Vice President and Managing Director Zalmi Klyne, successfully arranged $17.96 million in financing for a two-property multifamily portfolio in Los Angeles and West Hollywood. The 69-unit portfolio spans sought-after locations, offering a mix of modern living spaces and high-end amenities.

Financing was secured on behalf of two California-based owners through a bank, leveraging Northmarq’s strong correspondent relationships. The transactions were structured with 30-year terms, optimizing long-term value for the borrowers.

“This financing reflects our team’s ability to navigate dynamic market conditions and structure deals that align with both lender and borrower goals,” said Klyne. “We got the bank comfortable to underwrite anticipated rent increases, and allowed the borrower to buy down the rate to maximize leverage and minimize the borrower’s cash-in.”

The bank demonstrated confidence in the property’s strength, underwriting based on $6,000 monthly rents — a testament to the high demand in the area.
